In February 2004 Indonesia has to offered wide ranging changes in national visa free and Visa on arrival system. For now, visitors from most countries are granted a 60-day (non-extendable) 'short-stay' visa at any of the 'designated' air and sea gateways. Visa free entry is also allowed for registered delegates attending a conference which has received official approval For those not belonging to the above categories, tourist visas can be obtained from any Indonesian Embassy or Consulate.
»» Only 11 countries and territories are eligible for FREE VISA facility entering Indonesia, there are: Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Brunei Darussalam, Philippine, Hong Kong SAR, Macau SAR, Chile, Morocco, Peru, and Vietnam. These country and territories will issued 30 days permit to stay free of charge upon presentation of a valid passport remaining of six months validity.
»» Nationals of 52 countries can obtain "VISA ON ARRIVAL" processing on the gate upon arrival at the airport following payment of official fee.
